Damian J. Rogers is the author of the concisely titled memoir AN ALPHABET FOR JOANNA: A PORTRAIT OF MY MOTHER IN 26 FRAGMENTS (KnopfCanada, September 2020), about a relationship shadowed by trauma and illness. She has also published two poetry collections: Dear Leader (Coach House Books), which was nominated for the Trillium Poetry Prize; and Paper Radio (ECW Press), which was nominated for the Pat Lowther Memorial Award and the ReLit Award. She currently teaches creative writing at Toronto Metropolitan University and in private workshops. She also practices, writes about, and teaches Tarot.
